It is our goal to provide you the most comprehensive guide to Chinese Food in the state of Rhode Island. What qualifies us! We are truly passionate about Chinese Food, visiting hundreds of different locations throughout the course of our lives, We have gained a wealth of knowledge about the cuisine, preparation, standards of quality, and importantly the level of care and service that each restaraunt provides. We still have work to do, and places to visit. It’s the goal of this website to tell you about the best of the best. What to order, and how to order it.

Rhode Island is a very unique place. We are blessed with some of the great Italian Restaraunts, Chowder Houses, Seafood, and fine dining establishment in the country. We are also blessed with some of the best Chinese Restaraunts too. We have traveled coast to coast and we feel Rhode Island has so many niche Chinese Restaraunts that no other state compares. I also feel Chinese Food takes the back seat to the above mentioned cuisines. We want to help change that.

I am a lifelong “foodie” from Syracuse NY. Whether it’s trying to chef up my own dishes at home or finding a new dining experience, I am always game to try as many new cuisines that I can. My most recent love has been Chinese Food. This was brought about by meeting my associate here at ChineseFoodInRI.com, Glen. 

Glen and I started working together last year. One of the first things he asked me is if I liked Chinese Food. I found it kind of funny at first. We then went on to have an hour conversation where he explained to me in great detail all of these different local Chinese Restaurants, what they do great, and what to order. I became a believer when we started to try all of these different places. I went from eating Chinese Food a few times a month, now upwards to 3 to 4 times a week. 

I found my way to Rhode Island as I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University. Although I did not attend for culinary, it propelled my love for food. I did minor in Sommelier, and now apply that same deductive process of wine tasting to my reviews. I am a very adventurous eater, with the mindset to try any unique or unusual dish at least once. This will allow me to cover some of the more outlandish dishes from the Far East.

My current favorite Chinese Restaurant in Rhode Island is Kwong Dynasty!

I grew up in Massachusetts, and found my way to Providence many years ago. I’ve always been a lover of Chinese Food. I can remember going as a kid to my favorite Chinese Restaraunt and what a treat it was. I also remember how sad it was to know it closed down. I love General Tso Chicken, and anything with “House” Lobster Sauce. If it’s meat and rice, I’m in!! My goal is to pitch in and give my honest take on some of those most well known dishes. I met Glen 3 years ago and he introduced me to my current favorite Chinese Restaurant in Rhode Island, that being Cathay Garden!! He told me “You have to go to this place, order L21, with white meat, extra spicy.” Ever since that infamous take-out I’ve yet to find any one who does the General like Cathay Garden!!
