King’s Garden is one of the few places in Rhode Island that does Dim Sum. I’ll explain more about Dim Sum towards the end.
We did a good sampling of dishes. We started with a Wonton Soup & Steamed Dumplings. Both in which were enjoyed. The dumplings were tiny, & bite sized, good none the less. Also ordered was a Beef Lo Mein combination (23) it came with Pork Fried Rice & an egg roll. King’s Garden does a really nice job with their Beef Lo Mein & egg roll. Although the rice isn’t our favorite, it is so unique to them that we could pick it out of a line up blind folded. The rice is good no doubt, We would eat it any day. We just like something slightly different than what they offer.
Dim Sum- For the table: Shanghai Dumplings, Pork Buns, Sesame Red Bean Balls, & Chicken Feet.
The Pork Buns are delicious as are the Shanghai Dumplings. It would be recommended to save the Sesame dish for the end of the meal as it feels more like a dessert.
King’s Garden has been a fixture in Chinese Food Cuisine in the State of Rhode Island for decades. It’s certainly a place that you have to go visit. Although ownership has changed over, it is still of very high quality.

For the reader who has never had Dim Sum before, it is small snack size dishes served in steamers. If you look at a Dim Sum menu for the first time you will see tons of different options. Ask for guidance, your waitress or waiter will be happy to help 🙂
