As is tradition at ChineseFoodInRI.com when we ring in a new calendar year, the first 7 days is Chinese Food. We ring the bell for day number 6 with a visit to New Asia House. I did a Pu Pu Plater for 3, with a side of house oyster sauce. They did a nice job today. Three large take out boxes, evenly portioned with the fan favorites including: egg rolls, beef teriyaki, boneless spare ribs, crab rangoon, golden fingers, chicken wings, and battered shrimp. Everything was delicious. The beef teriyaki stood out to me. I’d say it was the shining star of the plater. What I look for in beef teriyaki was served up at New Asia this afternoon. Cooked to a dark hue, even throughout, tender yet not chewy. TIP: I ordered a bowl of their house oyster sauce for dipping purposes. I recommend that you do the same.
I’ve had many experiences at New Asia House, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Their menu is vast, with all the American traditional offerings. Separate to that they have a native Chinese menu, here you will find domestic dishes for the home land. They also offer Sushi and Japanese fare, for you lovers of such food out there. Lastly they do Hibachi if you are into that.
Visit New Asia House for take-out, or grab a table. Take in the nice atmosphere. Order a Pu Pu Plater.
Enjoy!
